9 months old

3 months and my little man will be one already... Slow down time I want p to stay little forever!!! So for a quick recap this month parker got to attend his first baseball game with his buddy kale! He loved baseball he sat completely still on my lap the whole time which is pretty unheard of as he is very active these days we also had a special visit from one of Parker's girlfriends miss Raleigh we went to the garner baseball game and nc state spring football game with the Guys! While the Guys were in town Parker decided to start crawling!! He's into EVERYTHING now! we still can't get him to say da-da "ma ma" and blabbering is about all we get for now along with the occasional "hey" and other random things...he loves bath time and splashing in the water. I think he's gonna have a blast at the pool and beach this summer! He's pulling up on everything he can't get his hands on , health wise we've still been battling ear infections, allergies, and eczema, but he is still the happiest baby ever we are so lucky and so in love. We are having a minor procedure he will be getting tubes put in his ears this coming Tuesday he will have to be put to sleep not for long but I'm def nervous but I know it'll be for the best, just say an extra prayer for him Monday night and Tuesday :). Here are some photos from the last month....

DIY diaper genie refill

So we've been lucky enough to have gotten plenty of diaper genie refills from baby showers that we haven't had to buy any up to this point. I went to get a new refill and realized we were completely out now before going out to try and buy some I remembered pinning something on pinterest about making your own so of course I had to challenge myself and see if I could do it myself! And I did and it really wasn't that hard or complicated so I'm excited and figured I'd share. The Sahm's blog I found this on shared that for 3 years of diaper genie refills the cost was $1086 and for 3 years of materials of the DIY refills she spent $108! Wow that is a huge difference.

So here's how you do it if your interested...

What you'll need:
A trash bag
An empty diaper genie refill

Refer to the photo below for a visual...

Take a trash bag and open it enough to get a hold of all 4 corners of the opening of the bag. On the top of the genie refill you'll see little holes thread the corners of the top of the bag through every other hole (clock terms it would be 12,3,6 and 9 o clock). Once you thread them through the hole feed the bag through the diaper genie like you would with a normal refill and the tuck the top of the genie refill to make it neater. Voila your done its really that simple.
